THE FIRST DAY
At first, I thought we were going to have a super usual day when we got off the airplane, but oh no, right when we got into the car, I freaked out. Then I thought to myself, what is this guy doing? He was obviously doing something different – he was driving on the wrong side of the road, in the passengers seat! WOW, I thought this place IS different and then I had a good idea.
“Hey guys, I just had a good idea,” I said.
“What is it?,” asked Mom.
“I thought we could all choose a topic about something and then study it at every place that we go,” I said.
“I don’t follow,” Dado was confused, so I gave him a situation.
“So dad, let’s imagine you’re studying plants, then everywhere you go you would choose a certain plant and then the whole time you are there, you study that plant and you learn all about it. After you think you’re done, you share all the facts you’ve learned and everyone learns about that topic.” I explained.
“Oh, ok now I get it,” said Dado.
So, we all chose a topic. I was ANIMALS, Brayden was SPORTS, Mom was FOOD and Dad was RELIGION.
Stay tuned to see what we all find…
Hi Brookie! I’m psyched you are doing animals I love hearing about animals. When I was in Australia I had to drive the guys around in a van, driving from the passenger side and on wrong side of the road. It was harder being on the right side of the car than on the left side of the road. Like anything, I got used to it. Angie says hi she misses you!
Hi Brookie…what a great idea you had…I can’t wait to read what each one of you have to say about your chosen topic. I also loved your essay about Papua New Guinea. I learned a lot from your writing. I’m looking forward to more of your updates. BO says high to everyone! Keep having fun and learning new things!
Of course, that is really the correct side of the road to drive.
Ha!
Cool!
Great idea Brooke! I can’t wait to hear about what you learn. Have fun!!
