Day Two:
The Peterhof Palace or the Summer Palace and Gardens:

Pirozhki Pies – scrumptious, savory pastry filled with either chicken and rice, beef, fish or a sweet version filled with cherries, apples or lingonberries:
Saint Isaacs Cathedral:

A night at the ballet. We went to see La Fille Mal Gardee (The Poorly Guarded Girl) at the Mikhailovsky Theatre:
Day Three:
Catherine’s Summer Palace. We aren’t quite sure why they refer to a few of the palaces as Summer Palaces, as they are only about an hour outside St. Petersburg and the weather isn’t any warmer:
A Segway ride through Aleksandrovskiy Park outside Catherine’s Summer Palace. Btw, it was about 30 degrees while we scurried around…freezing, but so much fun!:
