A very cool laser lightshow called Circle of Lights that is projected onto the Bolshoy Theater:
Brooke and Brayden outside The Kremlin:
Inside the walls of The Kremlin…seems unimaginable to Mamma and Pappa, having only seen photos during the Soviet era. The yellow building behind us houses Putin’s offices:
No photos please…we weren’t supposed to be capturing these shots, but the carriage is that of Catherine The Great that was a gift from her long-time lover (she never married) and the other is the portion of the collection of Faberge eggs (ten are in Moscow and eight in St. Petersburg. There were 50 made in all. Fourty-three have been recovered. Twenty-one are in various museums all over the world, four are pieces of private collections and the remaining are lost, sadly).
The beautiful Kremlin red brick fortress walls:
Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral:
The commemorated scene where Boris Nemtsov, the former deputy prime minister, was killed during a time when he was outspoken and attempting to run against Putin:
Moscow by night and a date night for Mamma and Pappa:
Visiting Lenin’s Tomb (kinda creepy):
Boris, I mean Brayden, Stroh:
The Cosmonaut Museum. Our tour guide, Alexandr, was a former Russia cosmonaut (astronaut)…VERY COOL:
Touring the gorgeous Metro system of Moscow:
Riding bikes through Moscow on a “quest” (a “scavenger hunt” that takes place throughout the city). We were told the Russians love to have quests during the summer months, where hundreds of cyclists show up to compete for a prize:
Saying good-bye to our wonderful guide, Anna:
