We shared a spectacular day, with the warm North Africa winds coming up the Andalusia hillside overlooking Cordoba, with our wonderful friends the Kavanaughs for a private tour and spectacle of Andalusian “gaucho” displays on a horse ranch that originally belonged to Phillip II.
Cold rioja wine, sweet spanish olives, buttery spanish jamon (which I left on the plate for others to enjoy), spanish rice and just tons of smiles and fun. The pure-bred Spanish horses were beautiful, and the guys rode like magic doing equestrian acrobatics and a little horse flamenco dancing to spanish/flamenco guitar. Huge ‘gracias’ to Sam and Angel and the whole crew for a day that felt like a Spanish dream! Some fun videos below that show a little of the artistry.
That was a spectacular day, spent with great friends! It was hard to say goodbye to you again when it was time for us to come home. See you in a couple of months!
We miss you guys a bunch. Thanks for making the trip and making us feel so special. We loved our hang time with the Kav Crew! Brooke and Brayden are wearing their USC and Cal t-shirts with pride. Brad is not so proud:).
Loved the Andalusian horse video–reminded me of the Icelandic horses we saw recently–smaller with shaggier manes that can demonstrate 5 different gaits, which is very unusual. Beautiful!
